Ichche is a free-spirited dansusee, with a completely different take on the dialectics of love and relationships compared to Neel. Although attracted to each other, their love remains unrequited love unrequited, and, to complicate matters, a fashion photographer in Bijoy is also attracted to Ichche and has designs to make her into a big star. In the beginning of the story, Tagore's Uttaran remains in the background. Ichche belongs to dance group headed by a male dancer named Srijan, who gives stellar performances of male heroes, despite the fact that he is also homosexual. His love remains unrequited until he meets Subhash. Between the dance school and music school, there is a small tea shop where a little boy named Madhav supplies tea to both schools. A small-time film producer, played by Sadhan, and a man named Madhav are also enamored by Ichche, and in their own ways show their love for her.

Saumitra, a narrow minded brilliant painter and sculptor, visits Khajuraho Group of Monuments to draw inspiration and meets Teesta there through a common friend, Arijit who is an artiste, too. Love blossoms between them in Kolkata and though their family background and economic standards are poles apart, they decide to marry. Teesta breaks away from her rich, blue blood family. After getting in the nuptial bed, hypocrite Saumitra, to his shock, discovers that without padded bra Teesta is flat-chested. The shock develops into sense of being cheated, anger and finally hatred. Teesta goes and seeks solution from Sharmistha Sen, her manager. Will Arijit marry flat-chested Teesta?

Subhankar Sen, the teacher of St. Peter's school fell for Medha, but never admitted it before her. Neha loved him but waited for his recognition. But unfortunately that came only after he got married to Priti and decided to transfer to Kolkata.
