A través del éxito meteórico de su canción Telstar, interpretada por The Tornadoes, este biopic narra un trozo de la vida de Joe Meek, el excéntrico productor musical y compositor de los 60 interesado por el espacio exterior, el ocultismo y la música electrónica. Además de viajar por el mundo del rock and roll de la época, Telstar habla sin tapujos de la extrema personalidad de Meek, genial y al mismo tiempo paranoico, adicto a las anfetaminas y gay en una época en que en Inglaterra la homosexualidad era un delito.

The S Club is trying to make some money to go back to London for Christmas, but they get fired from the department store Santa’s Workshop they’re working at, and then Paul gets amnesia after a car accident.
Geraldine and her two daughters, Livvie and Angeline, are living rough on the streets on London. When their van blows up, they must find an alternative place to stay. At first, they live in temporary housing, but the conditions are unbearable. Geraldine reacts quickly and the family decides to take up residence in Scottley's, the best department store in London. They must keep it a secret from doorman Brian (whom the girls call Mr. Whiskers), and a couple of bumbling thieves who want to rob the store safe of its jewels.
