La respuesta a todas esas preguntas es: La caza, un juego macabro ideado por miembros de las élites globales, que se reúnen en un punto remoto o una casa para cazar humanos por diversión. Ellos son las presas; el resto, los cazadores. Pero todo está a punto de cambiar cuando Crystal, una de las jóvenes que se encuentra entre los "cazados", le da la vuelta al juego y empieza a inclinar la balanza a su favor. Uno a uno, comienza a deshacerse de los miembros de la élite que pretende darles caza, con la intención de llegar hasta la misteriosa mujer (Hilary Swank) que mueve los hilos de todo aquello.
