En enero de 2016, la historia de amor que le hizo ir a una ciudad de Alsacia acabó hace seis meses. A los 45 años ahora se encuentra solo, sin coche, sin trabajo o cualquier perspectiva de vida futura; pero rodeado de naturaleza exuberante, cuya proximidad no es suficiente para calmar la profunda angustia en la que se sumerge. Francia, todavía recuperándose de los ataques terroristas de noviembre, se encuentra en un estado de emergencia. Sintiéndose indefenso, ahogándose en la rabia contenida. Se siente perdido y ve más de cuatro películas al día. Entonces, decide empezar a grabar ese estancamiento, no tomando en mano una cámara, sino editando planos de la cantidad de películas que ve.
