Cajas, botellas, latas… son abandonadas en las calles, en las tiendas, debajo de los puentes… y son siempre ignoradas por todo el mundo. Flaco es una caja de cartón rota que vive en un mercado con su amigo Burbujas, una botella de refresco de cola, y otros compañeros. Sobrevive escondiéndose de las máquinas de limpieza que lo inhalan todo. Además, ha renunciado a su destino y ya no cree en nada, ni siquiera en la leyenda de la pirámide mágica, la cual habla de un lugar maravilloso donde todos los desechos tienen una segunda oportunidad, donde renacen para volver a ser útiles, tanto para ellos mismos como para los demás. Pero, una noche, su vida cambia al conocer a la pequeña y especial caja Rayo, el cual a través de divertidas aventuras intentará convencerlo de que a cualquier desecho se le puede sacar provecho.
