La película es un gran juego de piezas que componen un universo muy particular, (por momentos real, por momentos onírico), que se va armando a medida que transcurre, y en ese transcurrir, la obra del coreógrafo Oscar Araiz queda plasmada, ya no al modo de un documento, sino rescatando su belleza, su profundidad, su narrativa a través del tiempo. Escribir en el aire es, entonces, una suerte de poema visual mezcla de testimonio con homenaje e historia, y articulación poética entre los lenguajes del cine y de la danza.
