"A live dance performance utilizing live image processing. The audience saw a dance as it was recorded, processed, and projected in real time." -ET
Viscous Meanderings
Director
"This video was recorded live in "real time". The audience saw the dancer and cameraman (me) on stage. The output of the camera went to a special computer controlled frame buffer (256x240 resolution) that I built. My assistant Richard Greene controlled the pre-programmed effects. The output of the frame buffer was projected live, and was captured to video." -ET

Shimmer
Director
"This work was recorded during a live performance (1985) in front of an audience. It was created with custom built hardware and software in "real time" using a single b/w live camera input. The props used were retro-reflective sticks and wrist bands that were "waved" or "manipulated" [...] The music "Hikari" was not performed live. We worked live to the prerecorded track by Maggi Payne. She created it specifically for these performances." -ET

Providence Video Dating Service (Recovered Tapes)
Director
"Rumor had it, many videotapes were discarded when the Providence Video Dating Service closed its doors in 1976. Some tapes were recovered and salvaged. These are edited artifacts from those dumpster dives [...] With Bob Rizzo and Nicole Luria. Produced at Electron Movers 1977 (?)" -ET
Greetings From Earth
Director
"An early experiment in video digitization as art. Made in collaboration with Curtis Schreier of Ant Farm when he was visiting Providence, RI." -ET
Make A Face Grandma
Director
"A friend whose name I have regrettably forgotten (Beth?) took pictures of her grandmother making faces. I created a soundtrack looping her whispers and used a sound trigger video switching circuit to switch to the soundtrack. By switching 4 cameras and zooming in on the photos I created this video in real time. Creation date was around 1977. I played this in public schools during Artist in Residencies and scared too many kids." -ET
