Nika is taking care of his paralysed abusive father, Sandro, in a run-down suburban family house near Tbilisi, soon to be sold. When Nastya, Nika’s girlfriend, arrives unannounced, Sandro unleashes his manipulative powers to the fullest.

The house painter Misha lives with sense of guilt because of the death of the son. Police officers ruthlessly destroy Misha for the fact that allegedly he stores things stolen by his son. The meeting with Niko Pirosmani's drawing of "Train in Kakheti" for Misha becomes an opportunity that he will come back the past and to confess for the made mistakes concerning his son.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, presidential and oppositional forces confronted each other on the main avenue of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Gia, a soldier of oppositional forces during the civil war, needs to get medicine for his sick son. While on a desperate search for the drugs, he accidentally encounters a school buddy, who's fighting on the opposite side.
