When a group of college kids stumble upon a small abandoned town of Sunset Valley, they must fight a band of Zombies led by a Confederate soldier seeking retribution for his grisly execution.

With no calling card, no tangible forensic evidence and a growing list of victims, a specialty force made up of highly skilled authorities is called in. Una joven presidiaria recién escapada de la cárcel se liga a un grupo de adolescentes a los que camela para conseguir dinero y un coche y poder llevar a cabo su huída. Escapa con el más inocente de los tres, y le convence para que le acompañe durante unos días hasta que consiga llegar a su destino. A lo largo del trayecto viven múltiples experiencias, y pronto, el joven se enamora de ella. Llegarán a la casa de la madre de la chica, pero allí se encuentran con su ex marido, que no hará más que causar problemas.
