Rajuan Alam
This film, produced in Indonesia and based on the old Japanese folk saying that "a man's happiness depends upon a knife, house, horse, wife, and singing bird," tells the story of the restoration of a young man to his rightful place in his society and nation, and depicts basic Indonesian traditions while outlining Indonesia's successful fight against malaria (with U.S. cooperation). The film follows Amin, a village youth who attempts to earn a living in the city. However, he is unsuccessful, and so he returns to his village to live with his wife-to-be, Marlina. Before the couple can marry, Marlina falls ill with malaria, and only after she is cured are they able to wed. The film was directed by Miriam Bucher and is a joint production of the U.S. Information Service (USIS) and Produksi Film Negara (PFN).
Sri Asih
Because her father was seriously ill in Semarang, and Sri Asih did not have time to leave, Sri Asih only took her mother to the station. After the train departed, Sri Asih heard a whisper, that the train was about to explode, because on the bridge there was dynamite that had been plotted. Immediately use the talisman, and Sri Asih becomes agile and can fly. The dynamite was thrown and exploded in the river, though before that he had to face resistance from the bandits. Then, Sri Asih followed the horde of the Black Garuda and managed to destroy it.

Dr. Sugiharto
A medical student, Kusmayadi, the son of Dr. Sugiharto, is going for a vacation in Bandung with Selikur and Winarto. There he meets up with Asmarani, and later on, both vow to be together forever. Dr. Sugiharto opposes their relationship, since he has arranged Kusmayadi's marriage with Lasminah, the daughter of a trader. The relation of Kusmayadi-Asmarani is successfully broken. Asmarani falls ill and dies. When Kusmayadi know the news, he falls ill and dies too.
Ratna Moetoe Manikam
Three sisters live above the cloud, Ratna, Laila, and Kumala. Ratna and Kumala are in dispute after they fall in love with the same man, Sultan Darsyah Alam. Kumala is turned down by Darsyah and in anger, she orders the destruction of his kingdom. Laila overhears this scheme and informs Ratna about it. Ratna then asks Bathara Guru for advice and is told that this is a trial for Darsyah who is destined to be together with her. Darsyah owns a powerful ring that is also named Ratna hence this disaster can be averted.
Air Mata Iboe
Sugiati loves all of her children, Achmad, Idris, Sumadi and Supinah. Sumadi receives the most attention as Subagio, his father, often blames him. But Subagio leads a double life as a thief. To defend his father, Sumadi takes the blame for his father’s crime. He is sent to exile for his confession. Subagio feels guilty, becomes ill and finally passes away. After the death of Subagio, the children refuse to take care of Sugiati who ends up in a nursing home. Upon his return from exile, Sumadi is appalled by his siblings’ treatment of their mother and settles the score with his brothers and sister.
Poetri Rimba
Achmadi is separated from his group during a trip to an island and is captured. Later, it turns out the Achmadi had once saved Bidasari, the daughter of a warlord who is holding him hostage. Then love grows between Achmadi and Bidasari. Unfortunately, Bidasari is already engaged to Perbada. Perbada's men capture Bidasari and her father but Achmadi succeeds in rescuing them.
Noesa Penida
Two brothers, Jaya and I Pageh, are commoners who love Gusti Ayu Pandansari, the daughter of the King of Tabanan Bali. Since young, Pandansari was close to Jaya and Pageh, and romance grows in a triangular relationship. The only constraint is the social hierarchy or caste. Although Pandasari prefers Jaya, she finally marries Pageh instead, since she is led to believe that Jaya has died in exile.
Elang Darat
Elang Darat, who leads a gang of robbers continuously harasses the village of Kresek. To overcome the security threat, the head of the village calls for assistance from a detective, R. Parlan. During a raid, Parlan is injured, and is nursed by Rukmini, the village head’s daughter. Their closeness prompts jealousy in Gunawi, the adopted son of the village-head. Later, it is revealed that Gunawi is the son of R. Bardan, Parlan’s father. Parlan then must face Gunawi because he is actually the one that people call Elang Darat.
