First Assistant Director
Película con guión del autor de la novela en la que se basó "Trainspotting", "Acid house" se compone de tres historias ambientadas en Escocia. La primera de ellas, "La causa de Granton Star", es una comedia negra sobre venganza, fútbol y religión. La segunda, "Un blandengue", es una historia de amor y traición con un protagonista al que manipulan fácilmente los que le rodean. La tercera, titulada "Acid House", es un relato cómico que se aproxima a lo surreal acerca del matrimonio, los niños y el consumo desmesurado de ácido.
Second Assistant Director
In the 1830's in northern England, Riah Millican, a widow with three children, takes a job as housekeeper to a reclusive former teacher, Percival Miller. Miller makes Riah the gift of a black velvet gown, and even educates her children. But when Riah discovers the reason behind Miller's gifts, she vows to leave his house, but Miller has a hold on her, even after his death, when he leaves his house to her on the condition that she never marry. Riah's daughter, Biddy, grows up and becomes a laundress in a large house where her education keeps her from fitting in and makes her a target. But it also catches the eye of a son of the house, and with Miller's legacies, Biddy may yet find her way to happiness.

Brian y Charlie son dos pobres desgraciados que trabajan a sueldo para un gángster. Cuando el jefe se entera que quieren dejar el negocio, se propone asesinarlos después que cometan su último robo. Brian y Charlie deciden por su cuenta quedarse con el botín de su último golpe, pero, cuando su plan de fuga se va al traste, se refugian en un convento de monjas. Están perdidos. Todos les buscan, empezando por su jefe, pasando por los Tríadas a quienes robaron y acabando con la policía y la novia de Brian. Tendrán que actuar rápido y la mejor opción que se les ocurre es ... disfrazarse y hacerse pasar por monjas.
