Mu Myeong is a Joseon dynasty headhunter who meets and falls in love with lady Ja Yeong who will become the future Empress Myseongseong. A few years later, Ja Yeong enters the royal palace to marry King Gojong. Mu Myeong still having feelings for Ja Yeong and in an attempt to get closer to her becomes her personal body guard.

El argumento nos traslada a la epoca de la dinastia del rey Sejong el grande en Corea, el cual se ve amenazado por los Chinos quienes tienen hambre de conquista, la solución para poder ganar la posible guerra es construyendo un arsenal de armas, a las que les llaman las armas divinas, elaboradas en secreto por un habil cientifico de la epoca que a través de su hija esconde el poder de un artefacto que puede cambiar el curso de la historia, por ello, esta joven es perseguida por medio mundo y cae en manos de un comerciante que la protegera y le ayudara a construir su arma, además que lucharán juntos por la libertad de Corea y por el amor que llegan a construir en el proceso.
