A dodo, a bird that disappeared 3000 years ago, makes its appearance in Athens in the luxurious residence of a family on the verge of ruin for which the countdown has begun: the 38 crucial and saving hours that separate them from the marriage of their daughter with a rich heir. The boundaries between reason and madness will be tested and the situation will soon be out of control.
Two couples of different ages get involved with each other: the younger ones see the deadlocks of the older ones as a gloomy possibility, while the older ones are “renewed” but also immersed even deeper into their own deadlocks. Time does not go back, mistakes are not corrected, and relationships end up cannibalistic.
Best friends from college, Elli, Natasha, and Joe are spending their last weekend together on a getaway at Elli’s summerhouse. Natasha and Jo are leaving to study abroad, something that makes Elli emotional, since she feels that she is being left behind.
