Stefano Garbelli is employed by a pharmaceutical company. One evening Daniela, a young independent prostitute, approaches Stefano pretending to be a nurse. They get together, but Daniela has a sinister plan.

II Guerra Mundial. Antonio Capurro, ladronzuelo disfrazado de cura, es arrestado por el oficial Cottone. Entonces, durante un bombardeo el granuja consigue hacerse con el uniforme del militar, dejándole la sotana. Comienza así una serie de cómicas desaventuras para los dos, que deben evitar a los nazi-fascistas que ocupan el país y ayudar a los soldados aliados.

A comedy with lots of Neapolitan songs and shots of the Bay of Naples finds Maria Morelli unable to marry her singing sailor/lover, Giacomo because her father, Don Salvatdore Morelli objects. She can't elope because her father has an heart ailment and uses it to hold Maria. Giacomo misunderstands and takes off on a global singing tour.
