Shirley Lynn Phelps-Roper (born: October 31, 1957) is an American lawyer and political activist. She was the lead spokesperson of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas. It should be noted that she now speaks against the church, though some suggest this is to save her career as a lawyer.
