A story about relationships between children and adults broken by shaky 1990s in Ukraine. The boy Tymophii befriends a weird man named Felix. He's the veteran of Afghan war, he has PTSD and he loves music.

Kolya and Vasylii learn that their father, who left them when they were children, is dying in Luxembourg, far away from them. One of them wants to go and find his father, while the other one does everything he can to prevent the first from leaving the country. As a result, they both go to Luxembourg in search of their dad: Kolya considers him a hero, while Vasylii thinks he is a scoundrel.

At the disco Andriy, an 18-year-old boy, meets his classmate Zhenya, who moved away from their provincial town a few years earlier. When Zhenya disappears, all suspicion falls on Andriy who returns home in his friend’s sneakers. Zhenya's father, a local criminal authority, independently begins the search for his son.

A young filmmaker Ihor finds a hidden and unpublished photo archive of his grandfather Leonid Burlaka, a famous Soviet cinematographer. Discovering a man that he never knew well enough through the damaged pictures, he gets closer to his dementing grandpa, facing the tension between memory and forgetting.

There is a ballad written by Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko called “That Catherine's hut is on the hill...". It is about a rescue of Catherine's lover, whom she saves by posing him as her brother. This story, as a parable, flies throughout Ukraine's history and reconstructs its dramatic and heroic episodes. Every challenge, including the Chernobyl accident, leaves Catherine without her home. But she is stubborn, as many generations of Ukrainians, in rebuilding her house out of pieces. The story is not only about Catherine's redemption, but also about Ukraine's survival throughout the centuries that is reflected in a folk tradition called Toloka.

BABYLON’13, un movimiento de documentalistas ucranianos, presenta la primera película documental sobre lo que pasó en Crimea en 2014. Las imágenes únicas de la filmación desde dentro y las historias reales de los marineros, pilotos, soldados y marines que se enfrentaron con un incertidumbre de cómo reaccionar a lo que pasaba pretenden contestar a la pregunta “¿Por qué cedimos Crimea?”. La película también da una idea de lo que estaba sucediendo dentro de las bases militares rodeadas y en los buques de guerra bloqueados.
