Trude Breitschopf

Left behind by his mother, an alcoholic prostitute, Georg grew up carelessly with his aunt and grandmother. As an adult he works in a department store canteen and has become an outsider due to his shape and infantile appearance.

Part satire, part drama, this movie tells the story of Anton Paulisch (Herb Andress), who has been living and working as an actor in Rome. When he hears that his mother is mortally ill, he returns to Munich to be at her bedside, but doesn't quite make it. He and sister Astrid (Elke Haltaufderheide) rediscover their friendship, though, as they go through a number of crises. Meanwhile, Anton makes an effort to find work in Munich, and runs headlong into the silliness and pretensions of the "New German Cinema" movement.

Alemania, 1945. Últimos meses de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El conflicto se puede dar casi por concluido, pues el país ha sido invadido por las tropas aliadas. Ya no quedan soldados adultos que defiendan las posiciones, tan sólo adolescentes. En una pequeña ciudad, un grupo de jóvenes ha recibido la orden de proteger un pequeño puente. Enardecidos ante la idea de defender a su país, y entusiasmados por la ideología nazi de "sangre y honor", los chicos se disponen a cumplir las órdenes recibidas.

Hamburgo, Alemania, 1944, durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Un asesino en serie aterroriza la ciudad. Cuando parece claro que la policía local es incapaz de atraparlo, fuerzas tan oscuras y terribles como el propio criminal se hacen cargo del caso.
