Returning to the gym after being out of commission due to his father's death, Recardo "Flex" Reverte, a glory hungry bodybuilder, decides to pick up his training again to attain his ultimate physique with a close friend of his father's, Beef Cake, a hulking mass of muscle. Flex soon finds out that Beef Cake follows his father's training regime to a tee, using brutal abuse to push him to his absolute limits. Flex's girlfriend, Mari, tries to help Flex realize that he needs to stand up for himself and develop his own mindset. Flex's polar opposite influences start to take a toll on him, causing him to lash out and spiral into utter madness.
