Hanni Weisse

An international gang of thieves and swindlers decide to move their criminal operation to the Teutonic city of Cologne, but Tom Wilkens, one of the best agents of the international police, is not far behind and leads an investigation to unmask the criminals.

Harry Piel plays Harry Peel who receives an urgent telephone call from a friend who has returned from South America recently. The call is being made from the circus "Beely" and our hero arrives there too late to prevent the murder of his friend. Now Harry must find his friend's killer and go on a strange mission involving a hidden document.

The Island of the Lost (German: Die Insel der Verschollenen) is a 1921 German silent science fiction film . It is a loose unauthorized adaptation of the 1896 novel The Island of Doctor Moreau by H. G. Wells. Author Wells was allegedly unaware that this unauthorized version of his novel existed. Thought at one time to have been lost, a print has turned up at the Bundesarchiv in Berlin, Germany. The film was only screened in the US for the first time at a "Monster Bash" convention in 2014. Comments from the attendees included the fact that the film was somewhat illogical, and had more emphasis on comedy and romance than horror, but that it offered "memorable glimpses of human-animal hybrids".

A middle-class man falls in love with a woman from a more ordinary background, and they end up working in a variety act where they sink into alcoholism. He then kills another man whom he mistakenly believes is a rival.

Originally planned as the third entry in the Der Hund von Baskerville series, it was reworked into a stand alone film before release.

Hanni, the shop girl, comes from a milieu like Zille, from which she is freed, so to speak, by Ferdinand, a wealthy elderly gentleman. The first date turns into a shopping spree, and after the new clothes come a new home. Since we write the year 1913 and at that time the cinema was still chaste, Max Mack saved us the details of the Techtelmechtel. To keep the story going, they both learn the new fashion dance: Tango, which Lieutenant Lulu has tried in vain. A tango competition makes the comedy a mix-up comedy: it wins - who wouldn't have thought it - Hanni as the tango queen.

A young actress wanting to test out a new profession, becomes a baker's apprentice.

A man has an accident while out riding his horse and soon discovers that he now has a split personality, and that his alternate is helping a criminal to rob his house.
