From the youth directed novel of the same name by Greogor Tressnow comes a film by Detlev Buck that is a realistic portrait of life in the section of Berlin called Neukölln. It’s about power and weakness, delinquents and victims, and the difficulties a 15-year-old faces in a poor and criminal environment.

Tobi (Robert Stadlober) y Achim (Kostja Ull-mann) son amigos desde hace años. Uno es timonel, el otro remero en un equipo de remo. Han celebrado numerosas victorias en el pasado y esperan con impaciencia disputar la gran regata de la región. Pero ya no se trata de un campamento de verano y han dejado de ser niños. Cuando se vuelve serio el flirteo de Achim con Sandra (Miriam Morgenstern), Tobi se da cuenta de que sus sentimientos para Achim son mucho más profundos de lo que quiere admitir. Se siente confuso, incómodo, y cada vez más excluido. En lugar del equipo femenino berlinés tan esperado, llega un equipo de jóvenes homosexuales que hacen gala de su condición. De repente, Tobi y sus compañeros se ven obligados a replantearse sus prejuicios, sus miedos, y quién sabe si sus deseos más secretos. In total despair, Anja is about to throw herself from a bridge. At that very moment, Henry drives past in his car. Thinking she's a prostitute, he invites her home with him. Anja pretends to be what Henry initially thought. She refuses to explain the reasons for her apparent attempt at suicide. The two begin to play strange games, engage in unusual sex, leading Anja to try fleeing the apartment, but Henry catches her. Forced by Henry, Anja tells him about Lilly who was raped and then killed someone, leaving Henry with the impression that Lilly and Anja are one, the same person. They play more mind games, make love, and after Anja going back and forth trying to leave, Henry finally lets her go. She goes, but is back again soon after. And with a vengeance, she causes a series of strange events which will change the course of both of their lives
