Hirayama Koichi and his wife Michiko eloped from Osaka to Okinawa, where they lived happily with their five children. When war erupts, their eldest son is drafted into the Imperial army. As fighting spreads, the family takes refuge far from the city, but soon, child after child is drafted to serve in various branches of the military and in organizations supporting the war cause. Koichi himself is faced with a moral dilemma when he is ordered to kill a wounded American soldier.
This film tells three scary stories that take place in and around a school in Japan. While each of the stories can be viewed independently, they are linked by location and by the time they occur. The events are defined on the last day of summer vacation, the students contemplate the passage of their temporary freedom and the resumption of classes
Una curiosa historia se produce en una familia japonesa. Madre e hija deciden irse a esquiar, pero desgraciadamente el autobús que las transporta sufre un accidente que provoca la muerte de la madre, no sin que antes transfiera ésta su alma al cuerpo de su hija. Así que ahora ésta posee doble personalidad y piensa como progenitora e hija, provocando situaciones delicadas e incluso hilarantes, en las que se llega a plantear la posibilidad de un incesto al pretender la madre que está en la chica, acostarse con su marido... que a la vez es su padre.
