"What would the world be like without Beethoven?" That’s the provocative question posed by this music documentary from Deutsche Welle. To answer it, the film explores how Ludwig van Beethoven's innovations continue to have an impact far beyond the boundaries of classical music, 250 years after his birth.

Classics such as "Rock You Like a Hurricane", "Still Loving You" and "Blackout" will be performed and sung live on October 4th in Rock City. The German band Scorpions, 34 years after having performed for the first time in Brazil, in double dose, in the first edition of Rock in Rio, is back at the festival for another amazing show at Palco Mundo. With a respectable legacy, Scorpions is responsible for influencing much of metal and hard rock, not only from Germany, but from around the world. Unmissable!

When Conny died at the age of only 47, his son Stephan was just 13 years old. Twenty-five years later, together with co-director Reto Caduff, he went in search of the man he often only experienced behind the mixing desk as a child. At the same time it became the search for the artistic legacy of his father.

At one point a few years back, Scorpions were planning to say their farewell, announcing that Sting in the Tail would be their final album and that they would close out their career with a massive tour. The band later reconsidered. The Live in Munich 2012 set was recorded at the band's final show of the tour, a homecoming gig at the Olympiahalle in Munich on Dec. 17, 2012 in what was truly an emotional show for the band members. The five-piece of Rudolf Schenker, Klaus Meine, Matthias Jabs, James Kottak and Pawel Maciwoda delivered a blistering set filled with the band's biggest hits.

Celebrating their 35 anniversary, Germany’s most successful Heavy Metal band, Scorpions, invited former members Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker and Herman Rarebell to join them onstage at Wacken Open Air 2006. Billed as “A Night To Remember, A Journey Through Time”, the August 3rd performance’s setlist was voted on by fans around the world via the Scorpions’ website and witnessed by over 60,000 metalheads in attendance.

Four years after they were last the subject of a documentary, Bad News get back together again for another film of their exploits, beginning with a reunion gig at the Flying Horse.

Since the Scorpions' career was at its peak, World Wide Live could not have been recorded at a better time. This 19-track album contains all of their early-'80s hits, and while they aren't as energetic on-stage as they are in the studio, the band still perform with a great amount of flamboyance. The record is the Scorpions' only worthwhile live album and is a must for their fans.
