Historia

Carl Knutson is a Canadian writer, producer, director and actor. He has written a handful of IMAX features and short films. These include: Delivery (2021), Efforts Were Made (2018), Amazon Adventure (2017), How to Marry a Mink (2009), Journey To Mecca (2009), Love & Justice (2008), Password (2006), and Mothers, Fathers, and Other Strangers (2004). He has worked on several docuseries including the National Geographic seriesMayday (aka Air Crash Investigations) and Trapped, Smithsonian Channel series Disasters at Sea, Science Channel series Close Encounters, Discovery Channel series Curious and Unusual Deaths, History Channel series Masterminds, and Travel Channel series Haunted Hospitals. He has also worked on a few of ID's true-crime series to include Fear Thy Neighbor, Deadly Deception, Nothing Personal, and Cold Blood. He has also worked on TV series including the HBO series Paradise Lost and the History Channel series Gangland Undercover.

The 20 year old Muslim religious law student Ibn Battuta (1304–1368), whose full name was Abu Abdullah Muhammed Ibn Abdullah Al Lawati Al Tanji Ibn Battuta, set out from Tangier, a city in northern Morocco, in 1325, on a pilgrimage to Mecca, some 3,000 miles (over 4,800 km) to the East. The journey took him 18 months to complete and along the way he met with misfortune and adversity, including attack by bandits, rescue by Bedouins, fierce sand storms and dehydration.
