Basado en un estudio realizado en el 2016 por la Universidad de Sheffield que determinó que Juan Manuel Fangio es el mejor piloto de F1 de la historia, Fangio, el hombre que domaba a las máquinas busca meterse dentro de la mente del mito a lo largo de su carrera y vida personal para comprender que lo llevaba a él y otros pilotos a arriesgar sus vidas corriendo en autos que volaban a las mismas velocidades que los de hoy, pero con mínimas precauciones de seguridad y en donde muchos de ellos no sobreviven hasta el final de la temporada.

It cemented his reputation both within the sport, and his native Brazil, as a legend. The film looks at his life and career using archive footage and featuring revealing interviews with the man, as well as those who knew him well; friends, family and competitors. It also shows how the Ayrton Senna Foundation, set up in his honor, is working to help under privileged and street-bound children in his native Brazil using sport as an incentive to learn.
