Strzeminski se niega a comprometer su arte a las doctrinas del realismo social cuando en 1948, Stalin invade Polonia. Zygmunt is a genuine hero of the struggle against totalitarianism and a recognized member of the "Solidarnosc" labor movement of the 80s.
