Theo Maassen puts his teeth in his first-ever New Year's conference. Twelve months, 52 weeks, 365 days, reduced to 70 nerve-wracking minutes. Maassen asked young super talent Tim Fransen for help writing this conference, his favorite band Stuurbaard Bakkebaard will accompany him.

With his previous Dedication show, he won the 2008 `Holland's Hope' award. All eyes are so focused on Between the Lines, where Ronald Goedemondt explores the theme conformism. As a comedian, you could do that by means of a chronological story in which you deliver clear points and arguments. However, that he cannot. Ronald Goedemondt jumps, dives and parades both physically and verbally through his material, with a barking dog behind him called logic. You will laugh, given you're Dutch. Ronald Goedemondt's Between the Lines was nominated for the Poelifinario 2011 (VSCD Comedy Award for the theater(s) with the most impressive program of the season).
Director
Ronald Goededmondt's third stand-up comedy show is about the confusion in the world and taking revenge on it. From big issues to small dilemmas can be read on his face. A man who does more than any other comedian and his performance becomes a social thing.

Cinco amigos de Maaskantje son despedidos a causa de su ineptitud. Tan ignorantes como agresivos, al demandar violentamente más subsidio de desempleo, se lo rechazan. Como reacción, deciden desde ese momento que no pagarán por nada.

Maassen won two of the biggest comedy contests in the Netherlands in 1990, the Groninger Studenten Cabaret Festival(GSCF), and Cameretten. The GSCF jury was not pleased with the quality of the contestants that year, and gave Maassen the first prize, remarking he was the best of the year, but still not very good. In the following years, however, Maassen fame grew steadily, especially amongst students. Maassens style was based on stand-up comedy: Alone on stage, telling jokes and stories to amuse the public, without any musical support (a thing common for most Dutch comedians up to that point).
