One night, three bored young men in a car decide to pay a visit to an older man they only know vaguely. At first he’s glad to see them but soon afterwards thinks they’ve come to burgle him and turns a gun on them. When the police turns up, they’re all taken into custody.

Mientras está en prisión, el pequeño criminal Reza (Parviz Parastui) se encuentra con un clérigo, lo que desató un plan para escapar. Reza se pone la túnica clerical de su nuevo conocido y apuesta por la libertad. Pronto se entera de que ser un clérigo trae poco respeto del público. Reza viaja a las aldeas periféricas, desde donde planea escapar del país. Sin embargo, sus planes deben quedar en suspenso cuando los aldeanos lo acepten en su comunidad y esperen que realice tareas religiosas. ¿La ruptura de la prisión de Reza lo convertirá en un pilar poco probable de la comunidad?

On New Year's Eve, a young soldier is looking forward to going home but is given orders to escort a juvenile delinquent to a distant reformatory. He sets off with the child handcuffed to him.

Seyyed Hassan, a young seminary student, is preparing to don the clerical attire. While the other students are also busy with similar preparations, Seyyed Hassan's supplies are stolen by a small boy. To identify the culprit, Seyyed Hassan sets out for the suburban area where he meets people who have never met a cleric and know nothing about the clerical profession. Under such unfamiliar circumstances, Seyyed Hassan acquires a new understanding of society and human beings.
