La Contessa d'Almaviva
The production bears the imprint of the conductor, Marko Letonja, and the director, Tobias Richter, whose understanding is ideal: both breathe a troupe spirit - specific to comedy - into this heterogeneous cast, which brings together young and old. Both give as much importance to recitatives as to arias and ensembles.

Giulietta
Bellini's radiant retelling of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is a beacon in the bel canto tradition. San Francisco Opera's co-production features two of the greatest voices in bel canto together for the first time: mezzo Joyce DiDonato and soprano Nicole Cabell. El grupo lo forman el poeta Rodolfo, el artista Marcelo, un músico alegre llamado Schaunard y el filósofo desprendido y un poco gruñón Colline. Los cuatro son bohemios y pobres pero llenos de pasión y con muchas ganas de vivir. En Nochebuena deciden irse al Café Momus para celebrarlo. Este hecho cambiará sus vidas para siempre.
