Una adaptación de una popular y apreciada melodía folclórica ucraniana. La existencia pacífica y vecinal de tres familias, polaca, ucraniana y judía, que compartían una gran casa, veladas musicales y alegría en la ciudad de Stanislaviv se ve truncada en los años anteriores y posteriores a la guerra. Primero con la ocupación soviética y la persecución de la familia polaca, y después con la ocupación nazi de Ucrania y la diezma de la familia judía.

En Polonia, tras las puertas de una exclusiva urbanización, la vida de sus acaudalados residentes está regulada por un antiguo código de honor, debido al cual los Kowalski y los Nowak han estado envueltos en una sangrienta disputa familiar durante años.

Un monasterio cerca de Varsovia (Polonia) alberga un oscuro secreto. Mathilde Beaulieu es una joven médico enviada por la Cruz Roja con el fin de garantizar la repatriación de los prisioneros franceses heridos en la frontera entre Alemania y Polonia. Pero la sorpresa llega cuando descubre que una gran parte de las hermanas del convento están embarazadas por soldados del Ejército Rojo. Aunque Mathilde es inexperta, deberá aprender a sacar adelante esta inusual situación y ayudar a las hermanas.

La película nos sitúa en la épica primera batalla de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. La Batalla de Westerplatte, que comenzó el 01 de septiembre 1939 que sera siempre recordado como la que anunció el inicio de la Segunda Guerra Mundial en Europa. Durante una semana, menos de 200 soldados polacos lucharon contra el intenso bombardeo alemán y en el proceso llegaron a simbolizar el poder de resistencia. Como ruge la violencia, una batalla compleja de naturaleza más personal juega entre dos comandantes polacos sobre cómo llevar mejor a sus hombres. En medio del feroz combate los oficiales polacos deberán responderse la siguiente pregunta....deberían morir hasta el último soldado o rendirse?

Un niño mantiene el vínculo con su padre, que vive a miles de kilómetros, a través de su amor por las aves, en esta película de aventuras que adapta una novela de Aki Shavit.

The cinema war-action movie takes place partly during WWII and partly in 1975 in Spain. The main characters: agent Capt. Hans Kloss and Herman Bruner, want to find the stolen treasure, putting their lives at stake.

Ten year old Russian boy Dima has no parents, he does not want sweets, he does not want a bike, and he does not want a dog. All he wants is to play soccer. And in this moment he wants to meet his father for at least one day. Fortune gives him an extraordinary chance. Dima finds the 'father'. This 'father' has no money and documents, he thinks about cigarettes, drinks, and constantly talks about some grandfather whom he wants to find. Father for a day, no problem. The problem is to reach mutual understanding, because... he's Polish and does not speak Russian.

The film presents the last days of Gen. Sikorski, right before the Gibraltar catastrophe. The commander is accompanied by his daughter Zofia and a group of closest collaborators. They are all guests in the palace of the Governor of Gibraltar, Mason Macfarlane, who is supposed to persuade Sikorski to give back documents on the murder of Polish officers in Katyn. When Sikorski refuses, a plan of attempt on his life comes into action. Who stood behind it? Who executed it and how? Was Zofia on board of Liberator too?

Captain Witold Pilecki was a Polish intelligence officer during WWII who volunteered for a Polish resistance operation to get imprisoned in the German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in order to gather intelligence and enable the Polish government-in-exile to inform the allies about the ongoing Holocaust in occupied Poland. The film also tells the story of Witold Pilecki’s fate at the hands of the Communist government after the end of WWII. The film is a reconstruction of the trial which took place in Warsaw during the communist regime in Poland. Captain Pilecki described his investigation as more cruel than his stay at Auschwitz.

It is a bitter story about a middle-aged man, who hates his life and other people, including himself. Adam Miauczynski, the character known from director Marek Koterski's previous films, is a 44 year-old teacher, who reads poetry during school lessons and later goes home swearing and calling his neighbours' names. The worst pain for him is the next 5 minutes of living. He doesn't accept himself and even everyday contacts with others cause his aggression. Though constantly dreaming of a romantic love, he is not bold enough to make his dreams come true. The desperate Miauczynski personalizes our own fears and obsessions, which have become so visible recently.
