Un apuesto arquitecto ha terminado de construir una magnífica casa con la esperanza de vivir en ella con su novia. Pero ésta se muestra algo desinteresada y más ocupada en su trabajo como maestra... Es entonces cuando conoce a una joven muy simpática y decidida con quien termina esa noche estrenando la cama de su nueva casa. Al día siguiente el padre del arquitecto la confunde con la profesora y ella, consciente del embrollo, lejos de aclararle la situación, se hace pasar como la nuera perfecta.
