El encargado de montar películas gore de una compañía sufre una crisis nerviosa, y acaba con su propia vida. Para sustituirle, el director de la compañía escoge a Eddie, que hasta ese momento se encargaba de los dramas de autor. Con la muerte del anterior montador las fechas se echan encima, y el anterior estudio quedó destrozado, así que el director de la productora le da las llaves de su casa de campo a Eddie, para que se encargue de realizar allí el trabajo.
