En un pequeño callejón de Estocolmo, un grupo de jóvenes mujeres ambiciosas conducen un teatro amateur encabezados por la directora Katja. Set in a small Swedish town, the story is centered around three best friends aged 20. Michelle, a photo model, has a drinking problem which leads to a string of one-night-stands, including sex with the hot tempered boyfriend of Anna. She has just moved in with him and is too much in love too see his faults. Petra is their clever friend who must combine being pregnant with operating her own café.
About 25 years ago an unholy child was born in an ancient noble family. The parents were the mother and son of the family. The goal was to create the perfect daughter, but instead she gave birth to a monster! The son, whose only interest are rabbits, called the monster Bunny Man, and placed him in a hole in the woods. He supplied his son with food and rabbits, to play with. Unfortunately, the lack of human contact made him violent, and his rabbits died when during his so called games. One day the son forgets to lock the hole and Bunny Man suddenly finds himself free, in a world he's never seen and doesn't understand. At the same time, a group of kids arrive at a cabin in the woods to throw a party. Kids that, to an untrained eye, seem quite similar to rabbits...
La película relata la historia de Agnes Ahlberg y Elin Olsson, alumnas de secundario en el "insignificante" pueblo de Åmål. Elin es extrovertida, popular y ha estado con innumerables chicos, pero encuentra su vida exasperantemente aburrida. Agnes, por el contrario, es tímida y no ha conseguido hacer amigos desde que se mudó con su familia a Åmål hace un año.
