The giant monster Raiga returns, rising in Atami Harbor and attacking the city. A second kaiju, Ohga, soon joins the chaos, and the two monsters clash, destroying large sections of the city. Defense forces launch two new weapons, the giant tank Kamikaze and the drill tank Gokumei, to meet the the monster invasion head on. But as the beasts work their way to Tokyo, will they be enough to stop the monsters from laying waste to the city?

When the Earth's ecosystem is disrupted due to global warming, a plethora of prehistoric sea monsters wage war on Japan. Led by the powerful Raiga, the monsters ravage the city of Asakusa.

Set in World War II, the film depicts the story of the real-life Japanese battleship, the Yamato, which is confronted in the Pacific Ocean by giant monsters, including the most fearsome of them all, Reigo.

Yamaguchi, Ichikawa and Kosuge dress in white military-style uniforms to "clean" the streets of Shibuya from bad elements. After rightist gang boss, Aota takes an interest in the three, the boys gradually become influenced by him, but start to go their different ways.

Rei, whose undercover role is so guarded that there is no written record of her identity, is well known for her accuracy in completing missions and her willingness to get naked if the situation calls for it. When she's instructed to bust Kayama, who has been buying confiscated drugs from corrupt police officers, she finds herself in a sticky situation -- not only is she attracted to him, but Kayama, like Rei, does not officially exist.

Ace es un joven que idolatra al grupo de psychobilly Guitar Wolf, en especial al homónimo líder de la banda, y les sigue de concierto en concierto. Tras uno de ellos, se ve envuelto en una discusión entre los Guitar Wolf y el dueño de la sala de conciertos. Su participación en la misma, aunque torpe, tiene la valentía suficiente como para que el cantante le declare hermano de sangre, y le ofrezca un silbato con el que puede avisarle solicitando su ayuda si alguna vez lo necesita. Ese momento no tardará en llegar, ya que en unas horas, unos platillos volantes aparecen en el cielo, y una horda de muertos vivientes comienza a deambular por las calles. En medio de la locura, Ace encuentra el amor cuando conoce a Tobio, una simpática chica a la que salva de unos atracadores en una gasolinera.

Masao es un niño de nueve años al que le toca pasar las vacaciones de verano con su abuela; así que se acabaron los partidos de fútbol, ya que todos sus amigos se han marchado a la playa. El aburrimiento de Masao es tal que se le ocurre la idea de buscar a su madre, a la que nunca ha visto. Con muy poco dinero y con una fotografía y una dirección como únicas referencias, el plan parece condenado al fracaso. Una amiga de su abuela propone que su marido acompañe a Masao. El problema es que Kikujiro, un antiguo yakuza, no parece la compañía más recomendable para un niño.
