Cortometraje animado de Makoto Shinkai que se proyectó durante el "Proud Box Kanshasai", una exposición de artículos para el hogar. El personaje principal es Aya “Aachan” Okamura, una mujer que ha estado trabajando durante dos años en una empresa y ha empezado a vivir sola. La historia está ambientada en el futuro y gira alrededor de Aachan, su padre, su madre y su gato Mii-San.

An apocalyptic look at the possibility of an earthquake of magnitude 7 or greater striking the Tokyo area. Mirai, a middle school freshman girl who goes to Tokyo's artificial Odaiba Island for a robot exhibition with her brother Yutaka at the start of summer vacation. A powerful tremor emanates from an ocean trench, the famed Tokyo Tower and Rainbow Bridge crumble and fall, and the landscape of Tokyo changes in an instant. With the help of a motorcycle delivery woman named Mari who they meet on Odaiba, Mirai and Yutaka strive to head back to their Setagaya home in western Tokyo.

Takaki y Akari son dos compañeros de clase en la escuela primaria. Durante su tiempo juntos se volvieron amigos cercanos. Su relación es puesta a prueba cuando Akari se muda a otra ciudad debido al trabajo de sus padres. Ambos sufren dificultades para mantener su amistad viva, mientras el tiempo y la distancia lentamente los separa. Cuando Takaki se entera que se muda a un lugar más lejano, decide visitar a Akari por última vez.

Oomura Takeshi is one unlucky fellow. He has has this case of bad luck ever since he was little. One day, while on his normal runs with bad luck, he meets an Angel named Elle, and he finds out that his father wished the curse of bad luck upon him. Takeshi has the oppurtunity to pass on the curse, but accepts it to save a young girl. For his noble act, Elle becomes human and lives with Takeshi to protect him from the curse, which is something Takeshi isn't particularly happy with.

En el amanecer de un nuevo milenio, el país está al borde del colapso. Millones de personas vagan sin empleo. La violencia en la escuela está descontrolada y adolescentes rebeldes protagonizan boicots masivos. El gobierno contrataca con “Battle Royale”. Cada año, una clase es escogida al azar para que se enfrente, en una isla abandonada, a un cruel juego de supervivencia.

Takashi y cuatro de sus compañeros de escuela no son capaces de girar en la barra del gimnasio. Su profesor les da un ultimátum: si quieren aprobar, deberán superar esa dificultad; pero si uno de ellos fracasa, suspenderán los cinco.
