Marialy Rivas is a Chilean screenwriter and film director, known for her 2012 film Young and Wild, winner of the World Cinema Screenwriting Award in Sundance Film Festival.
In 2010 she directed Blokes, selected in the Short Film Palme d'Or competition of the Cannes Film Festival. It also got awards in the Lleida Latin-American Film Festival, and other 50 film festivals. His first feature film Young and Wild, was premièred on 21 January 2012 in the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the World Cinema Screenwriting Award, Drama.In May 2012 she obtained the Sundance's Directors and Screenwriters Lab award.

Es 1948 y la Guerra Fría ha llegado a Chile. En el Congreso, el Senador Pablo Neruda acusa al gobierno de traición y es rápidamente destituido por el Presidente Videla (Castro). El director de la Policía de Investigaciones Óscar Peluchonneau es asignado para detener al poeta. Neruda intenta huir del país con su esposa Delia del Carril, pero se ven obligados a esconderse. En la lucha con su némesis Peluchonneau, Neruda ve una oportunidad para reinventarse. Juega con el Director de la Policía, dejando pistas orientadas para hacer su juego del gato y el ratón más peligroso e íntimo. En esta historia de persecución, Neruda identifica sus propias posibilidades heroicas: la oportunidad de convertirse tanto en símbolo de la libertad como en una leyenda literaria.
