El matrimonio de Karen y John se hunde. One night Micke has prepared to have an orgy of violent movies, but something rather strange interrupts his plans. While watching "Die Hard", one of the German terrorists from the film comes out of the television, and this launches a night of violence filled with known characters.

El encargado de montar películas gore de una compañía sufre una crisis nerviosa, y acaba con su propia vida. Para sustituirle, el director de la compañía escoge a Eddie, que hasta ese momento se encargaba de los dramas de autor. Con la muerte del anterior montador las fechas se echan encima, y el anterior estudio quedó destrozado, así que el director de la productora le da las llaves de su casa de campo a Eddie, para que se encargue de realizar allí el trabajo. Pero el cambio de género no le sentará bien al pobre Ed, que comenzará a sufrir terribles alucinaciones, relacionadas con la temática de las nuevas películas de las que está encargado.

Per is doing his military service when he finds out that his girlfriend back home in Stockholm is having an affair. He goes AWOL and tries to find a way back home. On the way he meets Hanna, the daughter of a travelling salesman who joins him on his journey.

Sture Lundblad was a Swedish volunteer fighter in the Spanish civil war. Sture is now dead. His son Michael has inherited a house in Spain and decides to follow the trail of his father.
