Con hombres obligados a pasar el invierno en medio del mar congelado, el hambre, las bajísimas temperaturas y el acecho de los osos polares hicieron que estallaran numerosos conflictos entre la tripulación, unos hombres a los que sólo les quedaba esperar la primavera.
