​From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.   Daniel Barber is a British director who was nominated for an Academy Award in 2008 for his short film 'The Tonto Woman'. Barber's wife Sandra was by his side throughout the Oscar ceremonies, despite her own struggle with cancer.
