"Avant que tu reviennes" is the fragmented, deliberately cubist story of a group of friends who get together in a nightclub a few days after one their tribe, who had ties with all of them, abruptly killed himself, leaving no note of explanation.

Leonardo, an upper-middle class boy from the south of Rio de Janeiro, befriends Kiko, a boy who lives on the street and who juggles balls at a traffic light. The rich kid decides to lend Kiko his handheld video game – but it is stolen by hill boys. This is just the beginning of a great friendship between the two. They begin a great adventure that takes Leonardo to the favela, where he knows a reality entirely different from his own.

Dolores no sabe que los dólares viajan camuflados en el tacón de unos zapatos de baile. Los zapatos llegan a La Habana, pero son canjeados una y otra vez por diversos artículos y distintas personas, sin que nadie sepa lo que esconden en su interior. Cuando Dolores se entera, intenta recuperarlos a toda costa, revolviendo toda La Habana, ayudada por su amigo José (Jorge Sanz) un buscavidas español que se hace pasar por cubano para sobrevivir y Mercedes (María Galiana) antigua ama de llaves, diabética y algo transtornada.
