El primer año de Universidad suele ser el más complicado para los estudiantes, especialmente si están estudiando medicina. De esto se da cuenta rápidamente Benjamin (William Lebghil), un alumno de primer curso que sueña con ser doctor a cualquier precio. Benjamin conoce allí a Antoine (Vincent Lacoste), un joven que va más atrasado que el resto de su promoción. Juntos, se proponen conseguir superar el año, sacando muy buenas notas, sin importar el sacrificio que tengan aportar. Los dos jóvenes entablarán una amistad entrañable mientras luchan por hacer sus sueños realidad.

Su historia de amor con su novio François no tiene pasión, a pesar de que ellos están hablando de tener un bebé. Tanto Ariane como Lena tienen una salida para escapar de sus vidas. Ariane podría dejarse llevar y empezar una historia de amor con Pablo, un constructor español que trabaja en su edificio. Lena se siente atraída por Mark, un gran violinista que pronto se irá a Asia. ¿Qué harán Lena y Ariane?

Seaside takes place in a small coastal town on the Bay of Somme. The year-round inhabitants find ways to make their lives work; Paul, a lifeguard in the summer, works at the grocery all winter. His mother, Rose (Ogier) likes to play the slots just about anytime; his girlfriend Marie works in the local factory - the town's biggest business - but watching the summertime vacationers each year just makes her increasingly curious about what else might be out there. From these and several other stories, aided by close, revealing observations, we see a community perched between transition and stasis.

In this French drama, a teenager falls into a life of crime, little realizing the consequences. S. is a moody young man who loses his job at a bakery, and decides to throw in his lot with a group of thieves about the same age as himself. S. and his cronies are strictly small-timers, pulling off second-rate break-ins for an older crime boss, but his willingness to do what he's told helps him rise up the ladder to bigger and more lucrative jobs. However, S. lacks the maturity or experience to deal with the risks, and after a few disastrous mistakes, he finds his fortunes sinking far faster than they rose.

After fatally shooting a stalker, Parisian bar-maid Lea must live the life of the title reptile. At the time of the killing she was living with Francis, a much older American ex-con. After committing the murder, the fleeing and frightened Lea is saved by Paris paper boys Jean and Luc. Later she tells her sad story to hard-drinking Moskowitz, a middle-aged cop who secretly desires her. His unrequited love leads to tragedy. Meanwhile, Lea continues living with Francis, but also shacks up with Luc while trying to avoid the jealous cop.
