COLLISION carves a new path in documentary film-making as it pits leading atheist, political journalist and bestselling author Christopher Hitchens against fellow author, satirist and evangelical theologian Douglas Wilson, as they go on the road to exchange blows over the question: "Is Christianity Good for the World?". The two contrarians laugh, confide and argue, in public and in private, as they journey through three cities. And the film captures it all. The result is a magnetic conflict, a character-driven narrative that sparkles cinematically with a perfect match of arresting personalities and intellectual rivalry. Filmmaker Darren Doane ("42K") and a camera, hit the streets of L.A. in an almost guerilla-like fashion and interviews a number of DJs, rappers and dancers. Not only do they give their take on what hip-hop is, what it represents on a personal and social level, but he also attends what is termed "battles" between rappers. While such battles are known to get aggressive from time to time, it is often a way for people to blow off some steam, express themselves, strut their stuff and compete.
