A man and a woman are cheated on by their respective partners and decide to get their revenge.

To save intoxicated friend Boman from getting caught, two conscripts lock him up in the local jail and release a prisoner, Ivan Jansson, so that he can pretend to be Boman for a few hours. But when the real Boman is transported to the county jail, switching them back could be difficult.

Short comedy about an author named Viktor Mattson (Nils Poppe) whose publisher tells him that his latest book is bad. To make money, Mattson becomes a door salesman for the publisher and goes to Nyköping to sell books. After a few ifs and buts, Mattson meets Ingrid Bergsjö (Britta Brunius) whom he falls in love with.

The hunt for a precious porcelain tableware leads to the Möllegården estate, where ghosts are said to live.

Anton, a very shy bookkeeper, must show his mettle when him and his colleagues at work ask for a raise but instead are laid off.

Kalle Jeppson is the joyful owner of a rural inn, "Spången" (The Footbridge). His only problems are all the bylaws that makes it difficult to have a quiet drink and the shrew of his wife who is always nagging on him. Kalle is afraid to tell her that Karin the maid is really his daughter from the days before their marriage.

Henrik Karlsson is accused of having stolen 5,000 SEK, even though he is innocent. But to protect the real thief, who is sick in hospital, Karlsson takes the full responsibility.

The plot revolves around Edvar Månsson, a framer living in Skåne, Sweden.

The widow Maja Brummell lives in Stockholm with her daughters Elsa, Brita, Ann-Marie, Svea and Ingrid. Mrs. Brummell has a lousy business sense.

The film centers on Algot Söderholm's two daughters, beautiful Magda and plain, less desirable Lena. Adapted from the 1910 play by Ernst Fastbom.
