Buildings is a parody of the popular Pixar films like Cars and Toy Story based on inanimate objects coming to life.

Production I.Gがアニメーション制作を手がけた、漫画『ONE PIECE』初のアニメ作品。監督は谷口悟朗、キャラクター設定は原作者の尾田栄一郎。濱崎達弥によりノベライズもされている。 オレンジの町編とシロップ村編の間の出来事を描いたサイドストーリー。後に放送が始まったテレビアニメ版とは声優が異なり、ルフィを高乃麗、ナミを豊口めぐみ、ゾロを高木渉がそれぞれ演じている。 一般販売ソフト化はされていないが、週刊少年ジャンプ1999年1号 - 6号にて応募者全員サービスとしてビデオが配布された。
