物語は、あのアパートでの惨劇の直後から始まる。完全隔離されたアパートに、ある特命を受けた医師と武装した警官隊が突入する。それぞれヘルメットにCCDカメラを装着した彼らは、感染者たちの襲撃に怯えながらアパートの最上階へと向かう。僅かに生き残った者が、“感染”の深層部であろう最上階の部屋で見たものとは…。
