女子高生のハルは、車にひかれそうになっていた猫の国の王子ルーンを助けたことから、その恩返しとして猫の国に招待される。気楽な猫の世界にすっかり魅了され、「このまま猫になるのもいいかも」と思ったハルは、ルーンの妃候補にされ、猫の姿に変化させられてしまう。このままでは人間の世界に戻れないとあわてたハルは、猫の男爵バロンの助けを借り、元の姿に戻るため奮闘する。
身長120cmで最大のペンギンとして知られる皇帝ペンギン。愛らしい反面、彼らの生活、特に子育ては厳しい。南極に冬が近づくと彼らは他の生き物とは逆により寒い南へ向かう。敵が少ない極寒の氷原で繁殖を行なうためだ。求愛のダンスでパートナーを見つけたカップルは1つの卵を大切に温め合う。やがて母ペンギンたちは往復120日間をかけて餌を求める旅に出発するがその間、父たちは絶食したまま、ひたすら卵を守り続ける。
サーカス団のメス象、ジャンボが授かった子象はダンボと名付けられるが、他の象よりも大きい耳を持っていたため、象仲間たちから仲間外れにされてしまう。そんなダンボの友達になったネズミのティモシーは彼をなぐさめようと、ダンボに空を飛んでみるよう勧める。空を飛べるようになったダンボは、たちまちサーカスの人気者になる。
