On August 28, 1993, metal superstars Iron Maiden and horror illusionist Simon Drake combined to create the most macabre musical event of all time: Raising Hell. In this first and only live rock concert with a horror movie setting, Raising Hell celebrates lead singer Bruce Dickinson's final performance with Iron Maiden. The band's electrifying concert performance, taped live at Pinewood Studios, London, incorporates blood curdling illusions and seventeen classic Iron Maiden songs, five not seen on the original pay-per-view broadcast. In 1985, Dire Straits embarked on a world tour of unprecedented proportions. Promoting their hit album Brothers in Arms, the tour included a thirteen-night residence at Wembley Arena (featuring Eric Clapton helping out) and a brief jaunt at Live Aid (featuring Sting), before winding up in Australia in the Spring of 86. They ended with a 21-night stand at Sydney's Entertainment Center, packing the place every night, and wrapping it all up with one final show on April 26th. Featuring the one-off calypso version of "So Far Away" and an impromtu version of the Australian folk anthem "Walktzing Matilda" (with the whole stadium providing the vocals), it is truly a show for the ages. This show represents a band at their very finest, a band that has perfected the art of transitioning from structured verse/chorus parts to solos and back, bringing the audience along on an emotional and gorgeous journey for each and every song.

Alive in Athens is a live album by American heavy metal band Iced Earth. It was recorded on the nights of January 23 and January 24, 1999 in front of sold out crowds of approximately 2000 people (on both nights) at the Rodon Club in Athens, Greece. Iced Earth was supporting the Something Wicked This Way Comes album and were on tour. It was turned to a single DVD, and released in October 2006. The album features the return of former drummer Brent Smedley, who did not record on the band's previous album.

Live Consternation is a live album and video by Swedish heavy metal band Katatonia, released in both CD and DVD format through Peaceville Records, on 28 May 2007. The double album features a live performance recorded at Germany's Summer Breeze Open Air festival, on 17 August 2006. Queen's performance at Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in 1985 is often regarded as Rock's greatest live performance of all time. Their set lasted 21 minutes and consisted of "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Radio Ga Ga", "Hammer to Fall", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "We Will Rock You", and "We Are the Champions". Mercury and May returned later on to perform a version of "Is This the World We Created?"
