Traca (2023)

In a home, a young woman, out of shot, questions four young adolescents without our knowing the reason. Question after question, the answers are either missing or followed by an "I don't know" or an evasive nod. Quickly, the plot is propelled into the near past, the crux of the film gives explanations to the first scene. Indeed, one of the young men, Sacha, continues to face homophobic discrimination when he thought he had escaped it. A hatred that will reach even to the personal effects of the main character. How sad !

David is a reclusive artist living in the Florida keys. His private and tortured life is changed forever when Justin comes for a visit. What begins as a casual hook-up quickly turns dark as both men share their secrets and engage in a psychological tug-of-war for dominance.

The real fate of Jiří Arvéd Smíchovský, a prominent hermeticist, occultist, believer in black magic and an exceptionally well-educated person with a brilliant memory. This avid book lover had doctorates in law, theology and philosophy and was fluent in five languages. He was interested in occult teachings, practiced magical ceremonies, was in contact with the Freemasons, but at the same time he was a member of the National Fascist Community while being homosexual. During the war he cooperated with the Nazis, after the war with the communist StB.

Daniel, a young man from the provinces come to the city and moves from one gay subculture to the next. Luca Damiano is perhaps Italy's greatest erotic filmmaker, though he doesn't seem to get enough credit for his obvious achievements including such classics as "X Hamlet" and "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". "Jojami" from early in his career is no great shakes, merely part of the bandwagon exploiting the then-novelty of transsexuals having explicit sex on screen.
