西部開拓史にその名を残す伝説の保安官・ワイアット・アープの生涯を描く西部劇大作。厳格な父に育てられた少年時代から、青年時代の挫折、正義に目覚め保安官となり、有名な「OK牧場の決闘」から始まるクラントン一家との抗争に決着をつけるまでを描く。
