独裁国家となった未来のイギリス。TV局で働くイヴィーは外出禁止時間帯の夜に秘密警察に見つかり、絶体絶命の危機に見舞われたところを、"V"とだけ名乗る仮面の男に命を救われる。しかし、"V"と名乗るその男は、国家を相手にひとりテロ活動を続け、クラシック音楽の調べにあわせて街を爆破、TV局を不法占拠し、政府要人を暗殺していく、正体不明、経歴不詳、善か悪かの判別不能の男だった。1605年に国王の圧制に反発し国家転覆を図り失敗に終わったガイ・フォークスにならって、イギリスの反逆精神の象徴となったその日、11月5日-ガイ・フォークス・デイ-に、国民の決起を呼びかける"V"。正義か、犯罪か。"V"とは一体何者なのか？"V"と出会い、自分自身についての真実をも知るようになったイヴィーは、図らずも"V"の協力者となり、自由と正義を取り戻す革命のために立ち上がったー。

He will be a key witness during the Nuremberg Trials.

Moncho develops a close relationship with his teacher Don Gregorio who introduces the boy to different things in the world. While the story centres on Moncho's ordinary coming-of-age experiences, tensions related to the looming Spanish Civil War periodically interrupt Moncho's personal growth and daily life.

1930年代後半のスペイン。ヒトラー率いる左派ファシズムとスターリン側の右派共産主義に別れ第二次世界大戦の代理戦争となる内戦が開始されていた。父を共産主義者に殺された青年マノロは神学校を辞め、左派ファシズムのスパイに転進を図る。幼馴染のホセマリアは心から彼を案じ、神の道に進む決意を新たにする。マノロは、共和国側の革命を目指す若者が集まる演説会場に出向き、若き指導者のオリオールと美しいハンガリーの娘、イルディコと親交を深め 人民戦線の民兵として潜入に成功、激しい前線を命を削りながら戦う日々を送る。しかしそれは憎しみから出る信念なき戦いであった。一方、ホセマリアは、神父として民の心の支えになって生きていたが、内戦をきっかけに激しい反宗教的迫害にあっていた。しかし右派から命を狙われても、自らの信念を曲げず地下に潜り信仰を続ける日々を送っていた。まるで正反対の人生を歩む2人だったが、激しくなる戦火の中、複雑に運命は絡み合い遂に命を狙う側と狙われる側として再会してしまう。
