西部史に残る伝説を斬新に描いた青春ウエスタンの続編。西部開拓期の無法者ビリー・ザ・キッドの誕生秘話を描いた前作に続き、本作でも英雄物語の後日譚が想像力豊かに綴られていく。主題歌はボン・ジョヴィ「ブレイズ・オブ・グローリー」。
